Hunter & Michele’s Mayfield Farms Wedding

It is only about 10% of the time that I have a groom make initial contact about their wedding photography instead of the bride. But when Hunter shot me an email last year to inquire about wedding photography, I could tell from how he spoke about Michele that not only were they both involved in the wedding planning, but they were already such a great and effective team.

As always, here are some of my favorite things from their wedding day specifically:

Horses! There are some rescue horses at Mayfield Farms and we wanted to get some in the portraits. It might have taken some groomsmen’s help and several carrots, but we got them in there and it was super fun. And made for some extra good laughs too!
Hunter LOVES to fish and that got incorporated in some fun ways including some special cuff links, the sign the flower girl carried down, the groomsmen’s socks, and the groom’s cake that was had at the rehearsal dinner. I love when people let their wedding reflect who they are and what they like!
These 2 took everything so in stride and it just makes my heart happy. When it rained, we just adjusted and got out some umbrellas! And then they ditched them for a while during couple portraits and got some great shots then too! (If you zoom in on them, you can see the drizzle, which I think is just awesome!). When the aisle runner didn’t want to unroll. Michele just waited a minute at the end of the aisle and we all had a good belly laugh. Things happen. Hunter and Michele took it in stride, and oh my…how that will serve them so well for the rest of life!

During their ceremony. they said that they’re relationship with both fun and limitless. I really do think that is true! Hunter and Michele, I wish you a marriage that always stays fun and lighthearted in good times and in hard times. With that, there is no upper limit! Much love!
