Kelli and Weaver’s Charleston, SC Engagement Session, Charleston Wedding Photographer

Any reason to go to Charleston is a good reason to go to Charleston! Kelli and Weaver live in Charleston and are getting married at Pretty Place later in the fall. When they asked me to come to Charleston for their engagement photos, I was thrilled. Gorgeous places to shoot are around every corner and it was so fun to walk around with them in one of the prettiest places around.I mean…how perfect are these two?!?

When we left downtown, we headed to the Pitt Street Bridge in Mount Pleasant. I put it in my GPS but somehow ended up in Sullivan’s Island?…Which was annoying in general but extra frustrating because sunset was coming up and I hated both that they had to wait on me AND that we had lost some light. So we shot quickly and as we were finishing up, the sky that had been gray for most of the day slowly but surely gave us the most spectacular sunset…ever…with the shadow of the Cooper River Bridge behind. Had I not gotten a little lost, we would have finished the session before this beauty showed up. It was a sweet moment for Kelli and Weaver, and a meaningful reminder to me that God can take even our little mess ups and work them together for our good and His glory–something beautiful. Kelli and Weaver! I can’t wait for September!!
