Katherine & Bennett’s Grace Church & Westin Poinsett Wedding

I know you guys might be tired of hearing it, but it just keeps being true. I am blessed to work with the very best couples around! And since the moment I heard from Katherine and Bennett, I knew it was an awesome fit and I was so excited for June 11. And then here we are!! The Hardymons, ladies and gentlemen!

For the past couple years Katherine and Bennett have been long distance but as of a couple days after the wedding, Katherine started working in Charlotte where they both now live. Long distance no more!! Greenville will undoubtedly miss them, but that is a small thing compared to how thrilled we are for their lives to be together (forever!) and in the same place!

They are the quintessential power doctor/lawyer power couple. To meet them though, you would just know they were the kindest, most welcoming, humble, and fun couple you’d ever hope to meet. They met through mutual friends at Clemson, so when we were doing their engagement session, Clemson was the perfect choice. As we were walking around chatting, we eventually even realized we went to the same church! (different campuses, but still) How fun to then have that in common and for a familiar face to be officiating on wedding day! When I texted Katherine the day before and asked if there were any last minute things I could do to help or pray for, she asked that I just pray that the wedding day and their coming marriage would glorify God. The wedding certainly did that, and I have no doubt that everyone you guys encounter in your marriage will see the light of Jesus shine through you guys!

Their wedding day, as you might imagine, was also a *dream*! Some of my favorite parts of their day were:

  • All the Clemson references! I didn’t go to Clemson, but feel big feels about my alma mater too, so I loved that they included little nuggets along the way. Their class rings, the tiger rag, all those good things!
  • Their friends and family were just the *best*! Everyone was so excited to celebrate Katherine and Bennett and jumped at any opportunity to help them and make the day go so smoothly. And they welcomed me and Jill in just like one of the family. THE BEST PEOPLE, I say! 🙂
  • Long veils have me heart. Full stop. I don’t know how many times I said, “We are going to have so much fun with THIS today!” And oh, did we!
  • Their ceremony was so beautiful and Christ centered. And the whole congregation sang several songs together in the ceremony, along with Katherine and Bennett. Those photos of them worshiping are some of my favorites from the day!
  • You can’t beat a Westin rooftop for portraits. And the sunset SHOWED OUT for us. Scroll to those, for real.
  • Finally, the dancing did not stop! Young and old and all in between, people got on the dance floor and did not leave until the very end, which is just a testament to how celebrated Katherine and Bennett are!

You guys, thank you so so much for trusting me with your day. To say it was a joy is an understatement! You all are the best!

Oh! And see you soon–because one of Katherine’s best friends is getting married in March and I get to shoot that one too. Let’s do it all over again, Alison and Andrew!! 🙂
