Aleta and Lior’s Wedding at View Point at Buckhorn Creek

Aleta and Lior are just as glowing at the light was on their wedding day! RIGHT?!?!?

Like so many, Aleta and Lior had to adjust their wedding day plans because of Covid-19. So instead of an April wedding, turns out it was a Halloween wedding. And you know what, I think they made the pivot VERY well!! Everything about getting to know these two was a delight. Aleta and Lior are so kind, even keeled, considerate, and thoughtful. They were so fun to get to know and photograph on their wedding day. My goodness, I don’t know how many times they asked me if there was anything I needed and to make myself at home–and THEY were the ones getting married. I was there to serve THEM! 🙂 They are just the kindest. 🙂

Some of my favorite parts of their day were:

  • Ok…so I have never loved a reception entrance as much as this one! Never–I can say that without reservation. It was Halloween after all, and so the wedding party entered in INFLATABLE COSTUMES!! Yes, please x1000!!
  • They incorporated a few Jewish traditions to their ceremony to honor Lior’s heritage including the breaking of the glass in the ceremony and some traditional dances at the reception. Yes, including the horah where Lioe and Aleta were lifted up in chairs! (And narrowly escaped hitting their heads on the ceiling!)
  • Ok, so this was a small moment, but it was a little chilly during the ceremony and Lior saw that Aleta was shivering. So he just stood there and rubbed her arms for a little bit to warm her up. Small, I know, but it was so sweet! And then someone let her borrow their fur, which was also much appreciated!
  • Cookie table! Need I say more?!? It is said that in the Pittsburgh area during the Great Depression, many times families could afford a wedding cake when their loved ones got married. So instead, extended families and friends would all make cookies from their old family recipes for the celebration. By the time the Depression had passed, a new tradition had been instituted!

Aleta and Lior, it might have been later than you planned, but your wedding day was beautiful! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it. Much love to you two!

Lior was very excited to show off his Eagles pride!

It was fun shooting these rings on top of the broken glass pieces from their ceremony! (Done very carefully, of course!) Here it is! These are my kind of people!!
